Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man.

Please help save these majestic creatures.

If you don’t reblog this I’m judging you, signal boost the fuck out of this, this needs more notes.

Do you call people out on microaggressions? How? Or do you let it go?

ABOUT THE RECENT EVENTS CONCERNING YOUTUBE

maureenjohnsonbooks:

Many of you already know about some of the recent events concerning various YouTube performers and allegations of sexual misconduct. When I read about this (and it seems to come and come right now), I thought, “I have nothing to add to this.” So I just watched. And was sad. And also heartened by…

This is so amazing in so many ways.

When you see it, REBLOG IT.

Although he should have passed away long ago, Mazer Rackham is able to mentor Ender because being in space "prolonged" his life span. My question is, why does time pass more quickly on Earth than in space? This has been puzzling me since I first read Ender's Game a couple years ago. Thanks, Hank!

Time doesn’t pass more slowly when you’re in space, it passes more slowly the faster you move. Yes, if you are running, time is passing slower for you, just very very very slightly slower. But in the Ender universe people travel VERY FAST…like right up against the speed of light fast. So a journey that will have taken a couple of years for someone on the spaceship might have taken a hundred years for the people watching.

As for WHY this is…I can’t help you…special relativity is confusing.

Pretty sure time actually DOES pass more slowly in zero-G, because Earth’s gravity warps space-time, but the effect is incredibly miniscule, but still enough that satellite’s clocks have to compensate for it.

It’s actually the opposite: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravitational_time_dilation

Oops, should have double checked that. Oh hubris, I am undone!

Yeah, I had to check my facts too. This shit is complicated.
